great recipes! however the best dish always comes out of "ah-gar-ation" (estimation), there isn't right or wrong but always the just nice proportion. and everyone has their own secret recipe to success.

The recipe is simple but not the execution. Such is life!

Hi Esther,

Haha, I purposely used the concept of cooking recipes to illustrate that we all know the knowledge of how to achieve something, but the hard part is to follow them and even if we follow them to a T, results vary ;) there are always little elements of execution that makes each result slightly different. Maybe you whipped the cream too hard and for too long? Maybe the butter needs to be cold before adding the flour? Maybe u need to add the eggs then the sugar?

Life's like that too :) you can follow others as a guide, but u still have to figure out your own way Haha!

Hi rt,

Yes! If you've followed any sort of recipes, you'll realise that individual results may vary from the nice pictures shown :) u get the gist of the message haha

Hi LP

I following the recipe to a T, other factors in play include not just the skill of the chief, which include how he control temperature etc, but equally important how fresh his ingredients are.

Hi SI,

You're right :) that's why in the past, without YouTube, it's so hard to reproduce the exact results by following the recipe. These days, by watching and then actually practising it, it gets clearer. But still, as always, you have to try it. Reading all the recipes in the world never makes one a better cook.
