Anime fest 2010 (Part II)

Here's some more pictures from the cosplay/anime fest that I went on Sunday. Still one more batch to upload :) Sometimes I wonder what their parents think of these folks who bothered to spend money and dress up. There are even guys who dress up as female characters and vice versa. I wonder what I'll think if my kids dress up like this...would I approve of it?

What's this? The demon from death note?

Some halloween girls...I like the pumpkin lantern

I know this! Yuna and Tidus from Final Fantasy X!!

Don't know who she's cosplaying as...But shouldn't sit near to the windows, bad for photoshoots..

Do you think your grow-up kids will need to seek your approval for things they like to do?

Bro8888,

What age is considered grown up? These pple who dress up are mostly secondary school, with some around JC age.

i think it's okay... take it as confidence building for the children. i might draw the line at dressing at the opposite gender though. and work with the child on how to raise the amount of money that they use for cosplay.

Hi Raelynn,

I'm fine with them playing dress up too, as long as they don't get distracted with their main job, which is to study well.

I think these days, we must play the role of supportive parents rather than authoritative ones...don't work very well with kids these days.
